Last Sunday Thorpe Bay YC Cadets had a memorable training session: first time ever we ran two groups. Sailors did some warm up drills all together. The younger generation could admire and copy the skills of our advanced sailors. Then the top group sailed away with Nick to work on their sail settings and close manoeuvring. Our younger sailors stayed with Andras: they developed their upwind speed, practiced boat control and timed starts out of a cage (a small square area marked with 4 buoys) to the upwind mark. Session was closed with an adapted cat and mouse game. Thank you to all involved, all supporters and well-wishers.
For years we wanted to run two groups and now we got there. This would not have been possible without each and every one of you supporting our youth sailing. New chapter is starting in our history. Our reward is obvious: just look at and talk to our sailors. We are so proud of our team. – Nick and Andras

There is growing interest in the cadet section to expand the Tera Fleet. Are there any boats not in use / grown out available for sale? Thanks: Andras

Registered sailors will have priority. We may have to limit numbers depending on the conditions. If really windy, sailors may be selected based on skill, experience, age, fitness and strength. We may shorten the session, or take sailors out in small groups.

Evening Sailors,
The Dinghy Park is rapidly filling up with only a couple of spaces left on the plan. Please dont buy a new boat before provisionally securing a place. There may not be room for it.
I have noticed a number of boats out of position, causing others to put theirs where they can. There is no sailing this weekend so look at the Dinghy Park Plan and please use the time to move you boat to its proper position if you can. If someone else’s boat is in its place, please talk to the owner or if you can see where it should be on the plan, move it for them.
Other people have informed me that they have always had a space but are not on the plan this year. If this applies to you, please tell me as soon as you can and include where your boat is located in the dinghy park.
If you and a friend have put boats in a different order than shown, please message me the actual position of your boats and I will update the plan.
A link to the plan can be digitally obtained from Janet or myself via email. I will publish the most up to date plan in the Clubhouse before the weekend.
Thank you
