URGENT: Double/Triple stacking trailers in the Dinghy Park

If you have paid for you 2023 storage and plan to keep your dinghies on double or triple stacker road trailers, then you need to inform me as soon as possible which boats these are.

Smaller dinghy storage spaces such as those for Teras, Picos and Lasers don’t really have the width to accommodate larger road trailers.

With this in mind, Mark and I have put together a provisional plan to move the storage of smaller boats on larger road trailers from their usual rows at the North of the Dinghy Park to wider spaces.

This can only happen if numbers are low and provided at the start of the season. Trailers that we are not aware of or introduced later in the season may not be allocated spaces depending upon the capacity of the Dinghy Park at the time.

That you in advance for providing us with your details as soon as you can. I need to publish the plan before next Sunday when the majority of boats will be expected to return following the delayed cruiser lift in on Saturday.

If you plan to return your dinghy before then, plan leave it on the west of the Dinghy Park and then move once the cruisers are launched.

Thank you
Jeremy

Dinghy Park Update

A big thank you to Nick, Chris, Rod, Julian and Howard for their help in organising and moving boats around the Dinghy Park last Saturday.

As a result there are a few boats that were moved to their allocated positions for this year. I have indicated that your boat was moved in the right hand column of the spreadsheet, whist every effort was made to secure boats as we found them, please check it is appropriately secured over the next few days.

Can all Lasers and Picos please tell their class captains if they are in a different position and I will then amend the plan appropriately.

If you have any questions, please contact me directly.
Enjoy the long Easter weekend at the Club!

Dinghy Park Space

Evening Sailors,

The Dinghy Park is rapidly filling up with only a couple of spaces left on the plan. Please dont buy a new boat before provisionally securing a place. There may not be room for it.

I have noticed a number of boats out of position, causing others to put theirs where they can. There is no sailing this weekend so look at the Dinghy Park Plan and please use the time to move you boat to its proper position if you can. If someone else’s boat is in its place, please talk to the owner or if you can see where it should be on the plan, move it for them.

Other people have informed me that they have always had a space but are not on the plan this year. If this applies to you, please tell me as soon as you can and include where your boat is located in the dinghy park.

If you and a friend have put boats in a different order than shown, please message me the actual position of your boats and I will update the plan.

A link to the plan can be digitally obtained from Janet or myself via email. I will publish the most up to date plan in the Clubhouse before the weekend.

Thank you

DINGHY PARK 2021

Evening Sailors,

From tomorrow, All Dinghies and Catamarans that have paid for this seasons storage can bring their boats into the Dinghy Park. With no main access to the Clubhouse, viewing the printed plan cannot be public so it is located inside the building within the area of the back door, same access for toilets.

You can also review online using the link that has been in the the recent email and posted within the TBYC Facebook Group.

The Dinghy Park plan is always an active document with boats being bought and sold. In an effort to keep the document up to date, if you arrange to swap with someone and your boat is in a different space, please let me know by emailing [email protected] or commenting on the google doc.

Hurricane 5.9 SX 338

Published by under Catamarans,For Sale

Professionally refurbished boat by AW Sailboats (Andy Web) Generally regarded as the guru of all Hurricane 5.9’s

The hulls are in excellent condition imported from Holland where they spent most of there time in a warehouse so little use and dry. Then refurbished with new slot gaskets.

The boat has been completely re-stringed and many parts replaced with new. It also has the desirable soft mast and all the go faster bits added to race and win in a Hurricane 5.9 SX

It also comes with big wheel beach launching trolley and road trailer, setup to take all the sails and parts neatly when travelling.

The boat has never been sailed since its refurbishment and is ready to race and win. My specification to Andy was to provide a boat capable of winning the Nationals and that is exactly what this boat is.

There are many cheap boats available but this is not to be confused with them. This is as close to a new boat you will get.

The only item I have added is a new Hyde cover

For sale at £4,600 Completely at cost

Winter Dinghy Park

Hi All, It’s that time of year when the sailing season is over and the winter series will begin (after the Cruiser and Sandhopper liftout 21/22nd October). As per the Club program, all dinghies should have vacated the dinghy park in order for these manoeuvres take place. Specifically rows E,F,G.
If you own a pico or laser and wish to pay for storage for the winter please contact your class captain to discuss rack storage and how you will put your boat on the racks. It is YOUR OWN responsibility to ensure your boats are moved.
