Friends of Shoebury Common have announced they are holding an exhibition of drawings, pictures and plans of the various flood defence schemes at Uncle Tom’s Cabin on Sunday 8th December 2013 at 11am. This is a good opportunity for local residents to view the proposed flood defence scheme put forward by the Council and will provide a good insight as to how the Council’s preferred option and alternative schemes will alter the aesthetic impact on the surrounding area.

There is a follow up meeting at Shoebury High School on Monday 16th December 2013 from 7.30pm to 10pm.  The meeting will be chaired by Peter Holmes from BBC Essex Radio and will provide a further opportunity for questions and answers whether you are for or against the preferred options.

We don’t see many videos during the Winter months probably because it is cold, Daren Fitchew however has not being able to sail at the moment, managed to get some good shots from the top of the slipway.
