The closing date for entries to the Winter series and Dinghy Park Storage is this Sunday 7th October. If you intend to leave your boat at the club this winter your time is running out.

Will members please note that if your boat is in rows I J K or M it will need to be moved by this Sunday after racing.

I will be taking a ten day break from the 15th-25th October, unfortunately I have been unable to find a suitable understudy so regretfully the kitchen will be closed during this period opening again on Friday 26th.

Well looked after, upgraded with great Harken blocks, outhaul system controllable from deck, like on Laser 1.
With new trolley: Laser Pico Seitech Trolley 70001, aluminium, which can be taken apart.  It is a light, easy to pull, well balanced.

Please note if you do not intend to store your boat or race in the winter series your boat needs to be removed from the boat park next Sunday (7th October)

Even if you do intent to complete, be available to move your boats on the 7th for a work party to replace some hawsers and  to allow room for cruisers and sandhoppers, it is your responsibility to ensure that your boat is adequately secured.

I would like to invite keen sailors (and well behaving parents if keen) to the next Sailor’s Meeting this Friday 28/Sept 2018.
Meeting upstairs in the club house.
With decent starts, good windward speed our team is getting close to the the stage where it makes sense to talk about advanced sailing skills, like mark rounding.

Southend on sea Athletic Club is holding the Southend 10K Road Race on Sunday 7th October, between 10am and midday.  There will be no access to the grass car parking area between these times.

The seafront will be closed from Victoria Road through to Church Road for the duration of the race.

A map of the course is displayed on the club notice board.  Further information about the race can be found at www.southend10k.com

Club racing on 7th October starts at 11am.  It’s the End of Season Trophy, after which members are requested to remove their boats from the dingy park in preparation for cruiser and Sandhopper lift out.
