Last week to submit your form, submissions no later than Friday 18th October 2013.

All Dinghy, Catamaran and Kayak owners with craft in the Dinghy park are reminded that these are to be removed immediately after the End of Season Trophy on Saturday 19th October 2013 unless entering the Winter and Icicle Series or having submitted the appropriate Winter Storage Application Form.

All Sailboards are to be removed from the Top Racks before the End of Season Trophy.

Entry and Storage Forms are available on the links below or from behind the bar and need to be received by the Hon. Secretary with the appropriate fee by Friday 18th October 2013.

Tonight is the planning hearing for the proposed seawall, please attend to show support for this to be refused.

Be there early Civic Centre 6.30pm

The Council are now intending to press ahead with the controversial sea wall project. This will see a flood gate erected at the launch ramp of the club and a large wall along our foreshore.

I would just like to thank everyone who turned up for the work party on Saturday , we managed to complete all tasks that needed doing thanks to the weather, a great turn out and hard work. Also thanks to Barbara who single handedly provided the refreshments.

Well done everyone.  What a great day and a great turn out.  We were lucky with the weather and lucky to have Rob organising us.  Thank you to Rob for coordinating the Event, Thank you to those who volunteered during the week to take responsibility for jobs and those who turned up and worked their hardest to keep our club looking good and working well.

Just a reminder that there is a work party this Saturday the 12th. I will be there from 9am, if I am not around please find a  list in the foyer and  allocate yourself a job .  We have many jobs to do so hope to see lots of you there.  I have arranged sausage or bacon sandwiches and refreshments.

Old Windsurf Boards

There are a number of old unclaimed windsurf boards behind the club.

If one is yours, please remove it.  Alternatively if you are unable to do so by the 12^th October work party, let Mike Thomason or Janet know which it is and when you will collect it.

All unclaimed boards will be removed from behind the club in preparation for winter maintenance.

As the weather looks good and it’s the last weekend before the kids go back to school we are going to take some toys and play out by the mulbury for the day. Everone welcome, the committee boat will be out there as base station, either walk out or be down for 11ish for a lift out.

TBYC Regatta and TOP’S Cup

Races 1-3 postponed due to lack of visibility, no wind, 6″ of rain….

Thank you to Alan and his Race team for all their efforts in trying to make today happen, but at 14:00 after postponement, coffee and teas we finished the decision was made to postpone racing till Sunday.  We convene again tomorrow for 13:30 Committee Boat start.  Thank you to Tony and his Safety Team for launching and recovering the Ribs today.

TOP’s will also be running from the race box tomorrow, with 3-6 short races starting at 14:20 under the Race management of Scott Weller.

I hope to see you all at 18:00 for the BBQ, Disco… and foam?!
