RS FEVA next step from Laser Pico

Published by at 13:55 under Cadets,Monohulls,Racing

Following the success of the Laser Pico as the TBYC Cadet/family boat of choice and numbers soon to exceed 70 in the boat park we are very aware of how much easier it is to train and develop sailing skills when all in the same boats.
As the kids grow in size and ability we would like to guide the next step up to be the RS FEVA, there are already a few in the club and in the race group of Cadet Week. Built in a similar material to the PICO they have good durability and the rig has the asymetric kite for excellent performance.

once we have got a good nucleus of Feva’s back in the club then it is proposed to offer training days to develop the boat handling skills and then Race Training.

If you are interested in the RS FEVA let me know as i am putting a deal together with RS at the moment and you maybe able to take advantage of a good price.

thanks

As a family we had great fun in the Feva’s and would strongly reccomend the RS Feva Xl as a step up from the Pico as you will find that the crew now has full on role.

These boats can plane downwind ,however deeper seemed to be the way forward.

    Watch this on YouTube.

Matainance is simular to the Pico with no sandpaper and just a hose required before bedtime.

They even come with stacking trolleys so you only need one roadbase to get around if you fancy sailing in one of the many open meetings.

The video is from the World’s in Lake Garda, see if you can spot Natalya Eyre & Robert Palmer, Ellen Palmer & Francesca Eyre, Laura Sanders & Matt Purdon who are TBYC members that sailed in the event.

There are some for sale on http://www.apolloduck.co.uk and various other sites.

great idea, isabel loved the season she did with laura, they are a fantastic next step with lots to do and learn, also we have 5 in the club so could quickly build a good size racing fleet. they will also fit in nicely with the club racing fleet.
i know a few who would like to buy one so I will pass the details on..
