It really is OK to say ‘No’ – but please say yes if you can
Dutyman allows a duty holder to request a swop with up to 20 other duties at any one time. An email is sent to those being requested to swop. The first one to say ‘yes’ gets the swop and the Duty Roster is immediately updated.
If you receive a swop request please reply even if you cannot do the swop – it’s better that the person requesting a swop knows the position. It really is Ok to say ‘no’ if you cannot do the swop as the member seeking the swop can then get on with requesting swops elsewhere.
However, if you can swop then please do so. We could all be in the position of needing to swop at some time.
DutyMan has email addresses for the vast majority of the 260 members on the Duty Roster. But there are a few who do not have email and we do know that some of the email addresses that we do have are incorrect (we are working on this). We also know that some members do not look at their email very frequently. So there are a few at present who cannot send or receive any swopping emails.
I seem to have lost a white Gill spray top possibly in last two weeks. If anyone has spotted it lying around could they let me know on 07768 981 669. Many thanks.
Lesley and I will be away on 3rd June so unable to do Race Officer and Assistant. We are looking to swap these duties. Given up trying to work out how to post a message as simple as this on DutyMan, hence this posting! 01702 476734.

Throughout the winter we have run organised coaching on Cadet nights, this would not have been possible without the expert guidance of our coaches all of whom provided sessions which were all extremely useful, interesting, educational and above all fun.
I would like to thank Rupert, Mike Thomason, Ken Herve, Mark Petty-Mayor, Johnno Gillies and Alex Farrell for delivering such excellent sessions.
We are finalising plans for the next few months – which we hope will now include outdoor and water based activities.
The final winter session is this Thursday, Mike will be outlining how to rig a Pico and no doubt explaining how to tune it to ensure you stand the best chance of winning TOPS races this year.
Thanks to Tony Padbury, Paul clark and co for stepping in to act as race officers in place of those who couldn’t be bothered to turn up or find a replacement.
