Committee Boat / Race Officer Training – tomorrow 15th April
We are bringing SS4 onto the slipway tomorrow to do a number of jobs including a bit of anti-fouling. If anyone is free to help from @ 10:30 – 14:00 that would be great!
Training from 14:00 hrs
- How to start and run SS4
- How to use the anchor
- Best practice’s on manoeuvres and picking up the mooring
- Running a race incl: Setting a course, Setting the Pin, Start sequence and flags, Filling in the race sheets, Choosing when to finish, Shutting down the boat after use.
Although we won’t be afloat, I’m sure the hands on run through will help you greatly.
This is offered to any current RO’s who would like a re-cap, any current ARO’s looking to gain more confidence, and anyone else who would like to get involved with Race Management.
It really can be very rewarding.
