I am delighted to announce that at this year’s Regatta party we will be welcoming the world famous ‘JiveSwing’ to provide our entertainment. They are a dance company who specialise in 1940s Lindy Hop, Blues, 1920’s Charleston, Cake Walk and Authentic Jazz.  They will be doing some demos overseen by an experienced teacher and then inviting members to join in. Jive Swing have appeared on programmes such as Britain’s Got Talent and Wartime Farm as well as many adverts for major companies and they regularly tour the world.

Tickets are now on sale at the bargain price of just £10 for adults and £5 for children to include food and entertainment, available from Sara Speller.

Food is available from 6.00pm and the entertainment will commence at 7.00pm.

Burnham Sailing Club are hosting a Laser and Radial Open Meeting on 17th & 18th May 2014. If anyone interested let me know as we are trying to sort out some stacking trailers to use or double up on normal ones. Rick Paxman; [email protected]. It is also open to Laser 4.7 rigs too.

It is with regret that, due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to unfortunately cancel this Saturday’s Sailing Supper.

Anyone who has already paid for their tickets will be contacted and reimbursed by the Club Secretary as soon as possible.

Sail training dates for 2015 will be published early in the new year, and the club website will be updated accordingly. Applications can then be made  via the  form  on the website, found under Sail Training .

Please note all cadet members wishing to take Stage 1/2 will need to be a minimum age of 8 in April 2015.

Sailing AGM – Wed 13^th November – 8pm – Commodore’s Bar

If you race and sail at TBYC, then you should come along to this years AGM on Wednesday evening to contribute and help shape next year’s racing at the club.

Well done for your performance against Eton College on Saturday in the 3-Boat Team Racing event, sailing Fireflies. Your 3-0 victories over both Eton’s Michaelmas teams, was excellent. I was very pleased with your Team Racing skills including good communication and some impressive tactics in challenging conditions.
