Friday – Sail Training and Racing Part One – Briefing; changed and rigged in the Sail Training Room at 10.30, on the water at 11.00.

Saturday – Why not join in with the Club Racing!

Sunday – Sail Training and Racing Part Two – Briefing; changed and rigged in Sail Training Room at 12.00, on the water at 12.30.

Monday – Club racing.

Sail Training and Racing – these sessions will be aimed at all abilities (must be able to beat, reach and run, and be able to sail to and from the training area), and be a great way to start the season.

Weather forecast (taken on Monday) is Sunny, 11 mph winds – Perfect!

Over the winter season Chris Boshier and I have been refitting the club picos. They have new ropes, tillers and sails.
We are just waiting on a couple of parts and new trolley wheels. They should be good to go by the Easter weekend.
If you are planning to use one and I have not posted here that they are ready, please email me and I will confirm which one to use.

Cadets! – and Parents!

tomorrow is the first Cadet Race Training.

Please, rig, take your boats to the beach, change.
Briefing is at 12:30, sail training room with Nick and me.
Launching from the beach is at 13:00.

Main topic tomorrow is: “Play with your mainsheet!”

Dress up well, like a polar bear, our Estuary is in direct connection with the Arctic Sea!

Cadets!

Cadet Week Monday 29th July – Friday 2nd August
We have just had our first meeting for Cadet Week 2019 and lots of plans are coming together. It is going to be a fantastic event as always!
The application packs will be available on the club website in mid-April so keep your eye peeled!

I would like the Cadets, if they wish, to write an individual Christmas Card to the 100 Orphans that I had the privilege of supporting in India recently. I will supply the cards and names and ask the youngsters to write a simple message. It will be the first Christmas Card they have ever received. Suryapet Orphanage is a Christian hostel, so that they will be celebrating Christmas. I will also send cards and toothbrushes! More photos on the TBYC Facebook page.
