Update: Following the review of bookings Thursday evening, it has been decided it will be more cost effective to close for the evening. The club will still be open lunchtime.
Dear Members,
The club is currently open as much as possible on the run up to Christmas.
Whilst adhering to the Government guidelines the tables are arranged so that you may eat with friends whilst maintaining a safe distance.
Can members book in advance if possible as we do not want to have more staff on than necessary, however I do not wish to deter people coming down last minute as well.
This Thursday James is also cooking in the evening but as yet we have no pre bookings so please make sure you book.
If we receive no bookings for Thursday by tomorrow afternoon I will make the decision to close to avoid an unnecessary cost.
This Sunday the club now closes at 3.30pm to allow lunch time attendance but without sailing this week it was not believed worth staying open later.
Hopefully with the rollout of vaccines now started the new year will bring our normal times a step closer.

Book your Christmas Fayre, Guests Welcome. Not in your household then we can put you on tables Socially Distanced but next to each other, it’s worked OK this weekend.

We are taking bookings and orders now for the Christmas Fayre for when we return.
If the restrictions when we return are tighter, meaning 6 friends are not allowed, we will be happy to change your booking appropriately but why not plan something good for the return and help the club.

When entering the club you will see the poster below, at the entrance, on tables and windows. This allows you to scan and check-in to the club using the NHS COVID-19 App available from the Google or Apple App Store.
Please also sign in so we are aware of club users. Non Smartphone users just sign in.
The app also allows contact tracing to be simplified if you unknowingly come in contact with somebody with positive Covid 19.
It is a mandatory request from the government that we make this facility available to you

The Commodore has taken action to close the club tonight in the interest of Covid 19 safety. Further announcements about opening will be made tomorrow.
Unfortunately a staff member has been identified as being in contact with a Positive Covid Case and has been asked to self isolate for 14 days. The club therefore wants to understand our position and actions we should take to protect members, their guests and other staff. Further advice will be taken from Track and Trace and appropriate government departments.
Please at this moment do not concern yourselves, as you know we have taken good precautions with screening and staff approaching tables have been wearing masks.

From yesterday:
o It is an offence for groups to be more than 6.
o It is an offence to not sign in for track and trace.
If we break these rules both you and the club can be fined. Please help the club staff by not breaking them when visiting.
