Following our fabulous New Years Eve party and hugely popular New Years Day Brunch, its time to think about Valentines Day at TBYC….

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to all those who helped Cook and Serve on New Years Day. The bruch was well received by over 100 members. It was a great day and after all costs we posted a £ 200 profit plus a generous bar take.

A reminder to all cadet parents that tickets are available behind the bar for this Sunday’s Christmas Party – the ticket price of £5 includes a gift from Santa, party nibbles and games and music with Groovy Tunes DJ.  All ages welcome.  The Commodore’s bar will be open for parents.

Please remember to buy your tickets in advance so that Santa knows how many gifts to bring!

Following the fantastic Christmas party on Saturday night, I’d like to say a huge thank you to the people that made the night so successful…Thanks to Kylie for booking the brilliant band “Sorted” who kept us on the dance floor until the early hours – we’re hoping to have them back to TBYC in 2012!  Special thanks also to Gordon, Lorraine, Gary and all the bar and kitchen staff  – their organisation and hard work was much appreciated.

Looking forward to many more enjoyable events next year….

Thanks go to our new Treasurer Ian Murdoch for securing us a new Credit and Debit Card Machine for use behind the bar.

Members can now use Debit and Credit Cards for a minimum £ 10.00 transaction.

The Machine was installed earlier today by WorldPay and has already been used.

Thanks Ian, I am sure we will all use it.

A new event for TBYC for 2012 – join family and friends to enjoy a “recovery” brunch cooked and served by members of the new committee!

Between 11.30am and 1.30pm on 1st January, Martin Swindon will be joined by Mick Kilkelly and helpers in the kitchen for one day only (in fact two hours only!) serving the following menu at only £5 per person:-

Scrambled Egg, Creme Fraiche & Smoked Salmon

or

Eggs Benedict with Wiltshire Ham

or

Sausages, bacon, mushrooms, fried egg, grilled tomato and baked beans with toast

The bar will be open and will also be serving Bucks Fizz, Traditional Virgin Mary’s and Bloody Mary’s.
