Sprint 15 Two Sail Nationals

Published by at 23:22 under Catamarans

Congratulations to Kyle Stoneham on his Third place overall in the Nationals at North Devon Yacht Club – Instow.

Kyle managed a very good set of results despite the light and flukey conditions that prevailed in a heavy tidal estuary. For a full set of results please follow this link www.sprint15.com

We should be especially proud of Kyle as he is pure home grown talent, getting most of his experience from sailing around the Thames Estuary in all weathers and all states of the tide, from a very young age.

Team TB want to wish Kyle the best of  luck with the forthcoming Tornado Europeans in Weymouth.

Third, is a good result for a first atempt. Pity is was such a drifter: not conditions Kyle particularly likes. At Thorpe Bay, we had all the wind we could handle! What a weekend, it was.

He did very well, especially consistant brilliant starts, despite a lack of sleep on the first two nights on account of my snoring (didnt know I did!!)
The sprint 15 people there as well as the locals at the club were a great bunch and despite the variable wind conditions, for me the weather & beaches were as good as being in the med.
