Thanks

Published by at 15:07 under Bilge

A big thank you to Shaun Christian & Andrew Hannah for the excellent race course and length of race on saturday, they were also helping some cadets complete their race officer training with Nike Thomason.

Also we all owe Tony Clark a beer for once again stepping in to help with race officer duty on Sunday, ensuring the rest of us could race. Thanks Tony from the sandhopper fleet.

And a big thanks to whoever took the bung out of our Pico so that whilst giving my son the experience in completing a big race, he also found out how to sail a submarine. I would appreciate it if next time they put the bung back after they have boorwed it. This is becoming a regular occurence.

Thanks Barry, for those kind words. One of the joys of race officer is to set courses that are pleasing to everyone. It was good to have Mike Thomason’s party aboard. They quickly made themselves useful.

I hope the wind moderates in time for the Sandhopper championship. I won’t be around to help on saturday as I will be away. I wish everyone enjoyable racing.

Just wanted to check why we are not reocrded as “DNF” Laser Pico 7877

sorry about that, you must not have complete a lap and are therefore not on the race officers results sheets. Although you are on the signing on/off sheets, and i had noted the pico signed off as DNF, but could only make out the sail number as 7874.. at best. There was no such boat, so it did not feature in the results. I will add you on later. i assume that Oliver signed on and off, it would help if he could write a little slower next time, thank you.

Hi Gary, sorry about that, you must not have completed a lap and therefore were not on the race officers results sheets. I had noted all boats that signed off as DNF, including a pico, but was only able to make out the sail number to be 7874, which did not exist on the database. It was therefore not included in the results. I will amend them for you tomorrow. If Yourself or Oliver could try to write a little slower it may help in future. Thank you. Jeremy
