The Sandhopper Nationals will be held at Thorpe Bay Yacht Club on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September. NOR, SIs and entry form are attached. Please note that the briefing on Saturday has been put back from 10.00 to 10.30am.
Don’t forget, to compete in the National Championship the helm must be at least an associate member of the SCBA. If you have not joined this year, contact Janet Willsmer 07969 598309.

Very fast and well sorted boat with lots of time and effort into making it go fast and look good. Blue hull with no damage, Re-anti fouled and faired over the winter and ready to win.
Z-spar mast and boom with self-launching pole. All ropes and harken blocks in great condition, double bilge pumps, hawk wind indicator, self-draining spinnaker bag with storage pockets, Depth sounder, anchor and oars.
2 sets of Hyde’s 1 brand new only used for the nationals plus 1 day practice then stored inside since September. The other are a little older but can still win the club races and a pink Lonton and Gray kite still got lots of life and is used for club sailing.
All measurement certs and is exactly 700kgs.

This Sunday is the annual RNLI pursuit race with a first start at 15:00 hours.
Give your voluntary £3 donation to the RNLI and come and join in the chase.

A big thank you to Peter Thompson and Mike, Will and Alex Thomason who spent their time this week Jet Washing and Anti fouling the slipway over the last few days.
As those of you who have done this know, it is not a quick or easy job and requires hard work, and they have done this in the recent new found summer heat.
If it wasn’t for the relentless dedication of members like Peter, Mike and Will to maintaining the facilities and high standards at TBYC we would not have such a great facilities. So next time you see them, show your appreciation of their hard and hot work, and refresh their drinks.
