The sunsail race series is on again and TBYC had six boats enter last year, made up of teams of friends from various fleets.
The sandhopper team that won the event last year have entered for this year which is over the weekend of 24/25 September, racing is held in the solent and the 40′ boats are brand new they take 12 persons you also sleep on them overnight, cost is £1180 per boat so £100 per person for a weekends sailing and accommodation! bargain.
Get your team together and get entered, contact [email protected] and mention TBYC and Martin Binnendijk to get the discount.

Lost Musto Sailing Boots.
Hi everyone.
On returning home after sailing on Sunday evening , I realised that I had picked up a pair of Musto black soft soled sailing boots
(catalogue No: FS 0020) by mistake from the gents changing rooms ,
This was in the rack area immediately ahead of the shower area exit, about half way down, and would have been on Sunday 10 th of July about 6/ 8 pm ish .
(Or just possibly picked up from seasafe 5 during the water skiing on Mulberry afternoon, although I think this is now unlikely. )
Consequently someone mistakenly has my missing my pair which are also Musto size 10/11 (catalogue No: FS 0010) with the harder white soles, narrow grip type. (I have checked the lost property box / changing room etc and are not there.)
These were a family gift, and I would very much like these returned .If you have them, please get in touch with me to swap on 01702 480087 or 07740 839254.
Kind regards Nick Cotgrove

It has been decided due to Cadet members taking part in the AYC Matt Trophy & the uncertain forecast that the beach BBQ due to be held Sat 16th July will be postponed.

Not looking forwards to that DIY job planned for this saturday?
The ironing pile is so tall, it keeps falling over?
Your wetsuit is still ripe from the weekend before?
You can’t close the lid on the linen basket, the kids have just emptied out the fridge within a day and the trip to the supermarket is looming?
Well do not dispair, we have the solution. SS3 needs a helm & crew for this saturday points 4, start time is 11:30. So leave that paint brush at home, prop the ironing pile in a corner, let wetsuit dry in bag for next weekend, close toilet door to hide linen basket, send your kids to their friends and order the food online. Simple.
Now all don’t rush at once, first come first served. Please click on link below and see you saturday.
Thanks

A brief outline the Shoreline race, starting from the TBYC Committee Boat off the Halfway public house at 12:00, following the shore passing inflatable buoys along the shore adjacent to TBYC, the Halfway House, pier to starboard, Alex YC, TEYC, Essex & finishing off the LSC.
We then plan to sail along in the LSC centenary sail past of their club at approx 13:45.
And there’s more…… Once the sail past is completed, we plan to hold a Leigh Centenary Race back to the TBYC. Course to be displayed on the committee boat, now stationed off Leigh.
ENTRANCE IS FREE.

Another great weekend afloat – Well done to TBYC’s F18 Sailors David White & Matt Rainbow winning the BYC Nore Race Multihull Dinghy class & Ronnie Barnes in his Musto Skiff taking the honours in the Monohull Dinghies. It certainly looked very exciting & we have some fantastic footage of the F18 downwind for the time the Rib could keep up with you.
On Sunday for the Club Mulberry BBQ we were blessed with great weather which by midday had turned into sunfilled clear blue skies & allowing great watersports conditions with lots of smiles.
Great to see so many families taking part in a variety of craft & members making the walk out to join in the fun at low tide. Well done to the two Alex’s for demonstrating their unplanned swimming skills!
