TBYC Social Events 2012 – Save the Date

Hi everyone,

Some dates for your diaries with more information to follow in the coming weeks and months!  Please keep checking the TBYC website, email bulletins from your class captains and posters in the club for more information.

 

Saturday 11th February 2012 : Valentines Dinner

Tickets are selling fast for this event with a great menu at only £20 per person – don’t forget to download your booking form or pick one up next time you’re at the club.  Available from the office or bar, or call me on 07831 090816 or email [email protected].

 

Friday 9th March 2012 : Wine Tasting Evening

Join us for a wine tasting evening with a Master of Wines, who specialises in the Bordeaux region – numbers will be limited so be sure to book as soon as tickets are available!

 

Sunday 8th April 2012 : Easter Barn Dance

We will be joined by the popular Barn Dance group Metric Foot for a brilliant evening of family fun – tickets on sale soon.

 

Friday 4th May 2012 : Cocktail Making Evening 

An entertaining evening with a UK Bar Flairing Champion – hands on cocktail making (and drinking!)

 

Monday 4th June : Diamond Jubilee Street Party

Join family and friends at the club to enjoy a traditional 1950’s themed street party – more details to follow soon.

 

Saturday 9th June : Summer Ball

The incredibly popular summer ball looks set to be another excellent event with live music and a fantastic menu – look out for more information soon.

Valentines Dinner – Saturday 11th February 2012

Tickets are still available for our Valentines Dinner on Saturday 11th February with a great menu and a pre-dinner drink included in the ticket price of £20 per person – we’re taking bookings for tables now (maximum table of 12) but numbers are limited so please don’t delay! Only 3 weeks to go….

New Years Day Brunch

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to all those who helped Cook and Serve on New Years Day. The bruch was well received by over 100 members. It was a great day and after all costs we posted a £ 200 profit plus a generous bar take.

Pre Sailing Breakfast Menu

This weekend the kitchen will be open from 9.00 am on Saturday and 9.30am on Sunday and will be serving a simple breakfast menu as follows:-

Bacon Bap – £2.00

Sausage Bap – £2.00

Egg Bap £2.00

Take away Tea or Coffee 50p

We are trialling this new opening time and menu, and would appreciate your full support and feedback.

So before you embark onto the water why not treat yourself to a low cholesterol start to the day!!

Christmas is fast approaching……

It’s only 8 weeks until Christmas which means just 7 weeks until the annual TBYC Christmas Party on December 10th 2011.

Book your tables and tickets now to avoid missing out, tickets just £25 per person including three course meal, drinks on arrival and fabulous music from the band Sorted.

Fancy a giggle? 24th September

There are still some tickets available for the comedy night on the 24th September 2011.

 

The Laughing Factory comedy night will be showcasing 3 experienced comedians, Ashley Frieze, Tom Roche and Del Strain. Anyone of these guys could be the next Russell Kane or Billy Connelly. See them first here at TBYC.

 

Tickets cost £10 per person and there are a limited number still available.

 

Gary will be opening the kitchen between 5.30pm – 7.30pm and the show will start around 8.15pm. Be sure to arrive early to get a good seat.

Kitchen Update

BBQ Sat 16th July

It has been decided due to Cadet members taking part in the AYC Matt Trophy & the uncertain forecast that the beach BBQ due to be held Sat 16th July will be postponed.
