This Sunday is the Whalley Cup. This is an annual event raced by Cadets using a Committee boat start and organised as part of the main club racing.
There will be ‘Special Instructions’ posted on the board at the end of the Bosun’s Hut, indicating the course (or where to find it). Start 10.30am. Remember to give yourselves 20 minutes to get to the start line and prepare your start.
The course will be set specifically for Cadets. It will have the usual ‘Club Support boats’ as cover, although neither myself or Andras can be there.
Let’s have a good turn out, forecast is 8mph winds. A link to download the Racing Marks is here.

Unfortunately this weeks Friday Cadet activities will need to be cancelled due to a booking clash at TBYC. It is also the Nore Race Prizegiving with BBQ should you wish to attend Benfleet YC. We will attempt to re schedule at a later date.
Thank you

We have two sessions of Race Training for 11+ year old Cadets with basic to more advanced sailing skills this week.
The weather is perfect for Sunday’s session. Why not combine Father’s Day with a trip to the Yacht Club. What better place to be!
The training will include Sail trim, stopping and starting, maybe even going backwards and of course, ‘Starts’. We will finish with a race or two!
