The club tow car (BMW X3) is available to launch RIBs (any club member with a clean license over 25 is insured to drive it)

If you have a duty coming up and want a refresher on what to do please come along to any race and let the Duty Officer know if you would like to join a displacement or the committee boat to help / observe.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Chris Richards last Saturday morning. Chris and John have been members of the club since the early 70’s and enjoyed sailing their Sandhopper regularly. Chris was well known at the club and she will be greatly missed by many members.

Our deepest sympathies to John and daughters Amanda and Philly.

Saturday 30^th March

11am – Commodores Bar

We are running a Safety Boat Duty Introduction/Refresher day for helms and crew on Saturday 30^th March from 11am

The day will commence with a theory session in the commodore’s bar, followed by some on water practical exercises, that will include, righting a capsized Oppie, Tera and Catamaran and mark laying.

This day is to introduce new members to the clubs Safety Boat Duty requirements together with showing current members key skills and knowledge that they may be uncertain of.

We will be restricted on numbers for the on-water session, but will run an additional practical part of the course in the following weeks, should numbers exceed our expectations.

All 3 matches of the Rugby 6 Nations will be shown this Saturday at the Club. Wales v. Italy 2.15pm, Ireland v. Scotland 4.45pm & France v. England 8pm.

We have a Private Function booked in the evening and we will be needing to set up for it, so the 2nd half of the Ireland v. Scotland and the France v. England game will be shown in the Commodore’s Bar
