Arrive early to move your boats - Sunday 14th June

Please be aware that the Southend Half Marathon is due to be held on Sunday 14th June 2026 and the route includes a section along Eastern Esplanade, including outside the club and dinghy park.

The road will be closed to accommodate this event and there will be limited opportunity for sailors to move their boats out of the boat park and across the road safely so as not to impede runners and spectators. 

If you wish to sail and/or race on Sunday please move your boats onto either the beach area or slipway early Sunday morning, ideally by 8am. If you arrive late you may not be able to safely manoeuvre your boat across the road.
