Model Sail Boat Racing at and near TBYC

So you thought that actual dinghy sailing was fun! why not try your hand at model sail boat racing! All the fun and excitement of yacht sailing & racing without getting so cold and wet.

Our newest and growing section at TBYC is the remote controlled Model Sail Boat Group. Using fully equipped miniature versions of a sailing yachts complete with the ability to set up sail rigging, sheet in sails according to conditions and wind, and full rudder controlled by a handheld remote controller. 

There are no engines on board these miniature craft, they are controlled and helmed in exactly the same way a normal dinghy or yacht would be, using sail and rudder controls. Why not give this a go. Our members utilise a nearby large public pond, as well as the beach area near to the TBYC slipway to launch their craft, and are now regularly racing in similar fashion to their larger counterparts around marks!
