Cadet Week at TBYC

Cadet Week is our flagship event held every August and regularly attracts over 100 young people who enjoy a week of learning to sail, improving sailing skills, racing and having fun in and on the water. Children from 4-18years enthusiastically get involved in their allocated groups, participating in organised activities every day. These range from group and individual races, the famous 'Cork' race, sailing 'follow the leader', to trips to The Mulberry Harbour, structured and fun learning exercises and Ice creams at Ocean Beach. In addition there are evening activities including RNLI visits, bouncy inflatables, crafting, water slides and more, including the fabulous end of week disco!

This fantastic week is made possible due to the hard work and generous time provided by an army of volunteers and trained instructors at the club who ensure our youngsters get the very best experience all day, every day, even when it rains!!
