Sea Wall Update

Published by at 08:31 under Club Notices

Following a meeting last night the Club’s General Committee wish it to be known to club members that they are against any works to the sea defences that require us to have our access to the beach hindered by the installation and use of a sliding flood gate at the entrance to the slipway. Members should lobby their councillors to back alternative schemes which will not affect our beach or immediate foreshore.

The Flag officers of the club are in contact with all parties who have interests in the Sea Wall project and will try and ensure the clubs interests are maintained.

I would urge all members to look at the councils proposal and help the objection groups to fight the cause.
    good call by the committee.
