Just to back up what Andrew was saying; there was a whole crowd of children on the slipway as well. Made getting in even harder if that is possible in a strong southerly and high tide.

Is there a copy of the weekends results anywhere?

Completely agree Andrew, can i say the same thing only on the slipway. When we came into the slipway there was a big crowd of children on it, not there to help. Hard enough getting the boat on the trolley in those waves without all the obstacles.

Are the results printed anywhere? Only did one race but wouldn't mind seeing how it went....

It was a great event. Special thanks to Chris Boshier for organising it, RFT for sponsoring and Gordon Sanders and his team on the committee boat.

By the end, I was completely knackered and unfit for sailing for at least a fortnight. Thankfully next week it's the Nore Race, which is a good opportunity to take a rest...........except that energetic Sprinters will be off to Marconi for an open meeting.

A note for responsible parents. Whenever boats are returning to shore in a fresh southerley wind, please keep your children well up the beach.
