TBYC 2011 Regatta – A Massive Thank You

A massive thank-you to the TBYC 2011 Regatta Race Officers Alan & Sally Willis and Howard Hawkes who coped with calm professionalism with everything the weather could possibly throw at them this weekend.

Thanks to all the members that supported in the many functions such as Beachmaster, Pico Race Officers, safety boat crews, race recorders, registration, BBQ ticket promotors and the team that spent both days getting very wet assisting competitors off the water in the challenging conditions and helped with the rib recovery tasks.

Thank you to the members that loaned Ribs as additional safety cover – this permitted a much greater level of coverage allowing the racing to take place.

Plus the results team who turned around the results for our five races  in super quick time – well done.

    I would like to take this opportunity to thanks everyone that helped myself and Mo hopper during Saturday’s storm and Thanks to all that made a fantastic weekends racing. Now to sleep for a long time!

    Hurricane 272 would just like to say a big thank you for a great weekend, shame about the weather. The company was fun and what a great club we have here. Thanks to everybody involved and here’s to next year. Ta ! Struan

    Thank you to all involved in giving us a great regatta, I think I can speak for all the competitors in agreeing TBYC can organise some fantastic sailing events
    Well done to Gary and Marti and crew for keeping us all fed and thank you to Gordon and Lorraine and crew for keeping us all watered.
    Toby you should feel very proud that your sailing committee got this job done, under some quite testing conditions.

    Thank you to everybody behind the scenes for a superb weekend of racing, fantastic safety boat cover, beach recovery and generally mucking in, TBYC at its best! also, a big thank you to the Sandhopper fleet for giving me a glimpse of what sailing will be like when a) I feel the urge to put an extra cardigan on, b) I start saying oooohh when I sit down, c) when getting cramp in my hip up the first beat is almost a relief and d) when a SAGA holiday looks Rock and Roll.     A fantastic weekend, superb organisation by Toby and his team thankyou to all who gave up their sailing to cover the race officer duties and seasafe cover.

    Mark im glad you enjoyed the sandhopper, you know it makes sense!!!
