Thank you Chris Boshier.

Published by under Race Officers

On behalf of the Sprint 15 fleet, may I thank Chris Boshier for standing-in for an absent Race Officer today. Without his selfless dedication, we wouldn’t have had a race today, as the scheduled Race Officer (or his substitute) failed to show up.

Many thanks, Chris.

K6 Nationals

Published by under Nationals

Any one up for sailing with me at the K6 Nationals? It’s at Falmouth 17th to the 20th of September. ( Saturday – Tuesday). I will be going down Friday but racing does not start until Saturday afternoon. Accommodation booked. Son and daughter were joining me but an early Uni start and no time off work have prevented them coming.
Contact me on 07802 611599 or [email protected] if interested.

Big Al, UK Finn Masters Champion

Published by under Monohulls

Alan Burrell has done it again at a very breezy Pwllheli last Friday to Sunday. Al loves a bit of wind, I should know, I shared 3 nights in the back of the Transit with him ( pong! ) 18 -20 knots seemed to do the trick on friday and the jelly baby lookalike was leading after 2 races. Saturday was canned after gusts of 38knots roared in from the Irish Sea. After a 4th in the first race on Sunday, Alan slipped to 2nd overall in 10 knots of breeze and had it all to do in the final two races. With the breeze building all the time, Al pulled it out of the bag with a couple of bullets to beat John Greenwood in big seas and 18knots. Alan has had a great year so far and is off to show his feminine side by trying to win the Phantom Nationals at Lyme Regis this weekend. Well done mate.

PROTEST COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS REQ, SANDHOPPER NATS.

Published by under Racing,Sandhoppers

Looking forwards to the Sandhopper nationals  this weekend, there is the expectation of seeing on the water, the finest of boat handling along with the most courteous of sailing etiquette….and the desire not to be T-boned, I don’t know why I have been asked to assemble a protest committee panel really?

However, it is just as well to be prepared so any knowledgeable people of the racing rules please respond below and be available after the racing.

Many thanks

simon
